TORC holds educational seminars to bring together clinicians, policymakers and researchers. Each year, topical issues related to transfusion medicine are chosen and presented by experts in that field, with plenty of opportunity for participation by the audience. Previous seminars have addressed informed consent for transfusion; massive transfusion and critical bleeding; perioperative blood management; and bleeding, clotting and transfusion support in obstetrics. 

In addition to the seminars, TORC holds an annual Project Investigators' meeting. These meetings are designed to bring TORC stakeholders and other interested parties together to give an overview of each project, provide an update on any progress and discuss future directions. These meetings also provide an excellent opportunity for people from a wide range of specialties to share expert advice and offer comments to improve these TORC projects, as well as engage in some strategic planning.
